Scary stuff when I was a kid. We would play it, close our eyes, and be mesmerized by attacking birds, haunted houses, outer space travel, and Chinese water torture

Greetings boys and ghouls. Need a good flick to get you in the mood for the coming Halloween holiday? I I recommend the 1988 horror romp Pumpkinhead. Lance Henrickson from the Alien movies is about the only "star" in it. Very good monster design and directed by the late, great Stan Winston.
Ed Harley's only son is accidentally killed by a group of teens and he is so grief stricken he seeks revenge. He attains it by visiting an old hag who conjures up the demon Pumpkinhead to exact revenge for him. But at what cost to ol' Ed?
